Tilos

From SkipperGuide, the online cruising guide for sailing areas around the world

The harbour/port on Tilos is a pleasant stop over for a night or two. We visited in mid May. We had a 50ft yacht with a 2 metre draught. This concerned the lady in charge of berthing boats in the harbour but we went stern to against the town quay without a problem. The inside of the mole was occupied by 2 large vessels. Lazy lines are laid.

Water and electricity are available. If you don't have the right adaptor for the electricity, she will supply one for a refundable deposit of 20 euros. We paid 8 euros for the night including electricity. We did not take on water.

Showers are available in nearby rooms to rent but the man never showed up, so it was showers on board. Several restaurants along the sea front and in the village, so plenty of choice. Nice beach but pebbles, so take jelly shoes for swimming. Peter Rowling (OFSA)
