Porto Montenegro Marina

From SkipperGuide, the online cruising guide for sailing areas around the world

Porto Montenegro Marina and Village

The marina is situated within Bay of Kotor, offern reffered as southern Europe’s deepest fjord. Berths depths range from 4.5 to 16 metres and are afforded excellent protection by the bay’s mountainous surround and the inclusion of bespoke breakwaters. As a result, tide variation is low and currents are dissipated.

The marina offers state-of-the-art mooring facilities to homeport vessels as well as those navigating Montenegro’s waters on a temporary vignette. On-site duty-free fuelling, 24-hour marina concierge and Porto Montenegro Sports Club will be complemented by a nearby superyacht refit and repair facility, operated by CompositeWorks shipyard from La Ciotat, France.

Porto Montenegro is within a three-hour flight of most European capitals and served by three international airports – the nearest, just 7 km away. This ease of access extends waterside, with the marina just a day’s sail from some of the Mediterranean’s best cruising grounds, including the Croatian islands, making it the ideal starting point for yacht charters. Back at home port, skippers have the dual advantage of berthing close to shore or seeking anchorage in the privacy of the bay

Marina services in 2010 include on-site customs and immigration, duty and tax-free fuel, single and 3-phase electricity, wireless internet, 24-hour security, laundry facilities and services, refuse and grey and black water disposal, full shopping including provisioning, deli and supermarkets and a Sports Club with tennis and squash courts, a fitness centre, bowling alley and internet cafe.

Long-term berths from 12 to 100 meters are now available to residential property owners. Short-term, seasonal and annual berths are available for non-residents.
