IJmuiden is a smaller city in North Holland, directly at the entrance to the channel between the North Sea and Amsterdam. IJmuiden offers a good marina with very good infrastrcture, but a unusal scenic: in the north you will see a silhouette with smoking chimneys. The ambience is dominated by a large industrial harbour. At the entrance to the marina there is a small sandy beach with mobile homes.

The approach is possible without any difficulties, but having swell, you should keep clear from the sides of the entrance (there is strong swell). You have to enter the harbour, the marina is on the starbord side. The entrance of the marina is well buoyed.

The Marina of IJmuiden offers all neccessary infrastructure with the exception of a supermarket. The city is quite far away, provisioning can be difficult. On the marina area there are bars and restaurants, and washing rooms in very good conditions. The marina offers a lot of space and many berths.
