The Hollands Diep is situated in de Delta area in the Southwest of the Netherlands. It is an important part of the inland waterway and crosspoint of the commercial shipping between Antwerp (Belgium), Rotterdam and Germany.

It also is a part of the "Staande mast route" (Upright mast route) between this part of the Netherlands and the IJsselmeer, Wadden sea and Friesland, specialy made possible for yachts travelling between the major Inland Waters without using the North Sea.
