Australia has an extremely long coastline and offers a diverse sailing environment. Seven of the biggest cities are Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Darwin and Hobart. Sailing is a very popular activity in Australia. There is a a lot of racing activity in Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney, Pittwater, Newcastle (Lake Macquarrie), Many locations in Queensland but particularly the Whitsunday Islands, Adelaide and Perth / Freemantle.
